CANCELLATION OF UNCLAIMED WARRANTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.22.100, registered or interest bearing County warrants not
presented within one year of the date of their call and other County warrants not presented within one
year of the date of their issue shall be cancelled by the legislative authority of the County; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners, that the warrants
specified below be cancelled in compliance with the above noted RCW; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Auditor and Treasurer shall cancel all record
of such warrants so as to leave the funds as if such warrant had never been drawn:

Threatened & Endangered (T&E) Wildlife Species
Dear Mil,e,
Thank you for your interest in the T&E Wildlife Species in the
vicinity of McCurdy Point. You may make a request through our
Nongame office for a complete review of our files for information on
significant natural features in the area of concern. Contact Tom
(Mens at (206) 586-1449.
TherE- }Eì.~; b'~en recorded use of this area by bot.h bald eagles and
pey'egrine falcons, During my 'Activity" eagle surveys this year
(April 7 & i:,, 1990) I observed an adult eagle perched at McCurdy
Point. I suspect that there is a bald eagle nesting territory that
has bpcome established in this vicinity. I did not locate a nest
during my survey flights" possibly due to t,he pac-I' visibilit,y caused
by fog. 1~e most thorougll searching surveys are conducted by
helicnp~er during tile months of March, April, May and June, The next
scheduled helicopter survey for eagles will be conducted June 1982.
[inring the mid 198()s there h',"ì.S a winter' radio telemetry study done on
p~regrine falcons in the I~ngeness/Discovery Bay area. McCurdy Point
W;':',3 ¿1. L:>cation 1'11.:'\1' was repeat,edly lH:~ed as a night, roost" This study
did not continue into the breeding seas,on. This area should be
thoroughly surveyed tor pote!ltial and actual use by peregrines
during the breeding season. These surveys would have to be conducted
by heJicopter. The potential use survey could be conducted anytime
while the actual use survey should be conducted April, Mayor June.
The next scheduled helicopter survey for peregrines has not been
determined.

To be able to maJ-:e specific recommendations on t,he proposed
subdivision will require more information about the use of this area
by the eagles and peregrines. Please keep me informed about this
proposal and how I can further assist in your assessment of the
potential impacts to T&E Wildlife species.
The information provided in this letter is not to be taken as a
comple~e inventory of the project area and does not eliminate the
need or responsibility to conduct more thorough research.
