Vacation of a Portion of
Glen Cove Road and of
Stevens Avenue in the Plat of
Phillips Bayview Addition

WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has reviewed a road
vacation petition submitted by Discovery Timber Company; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner held a public hearing on the
road vacation petition on September 4, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner considered testimony of the
public, comments from applicable departments, agencies and offices, and recommendation
from the Jefferson County Public Works Department and Jefferson County Planning
Commission at the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner determined at the public
hearing that the public will benefit from the vacation of portions of the roads and such
vacation complies with the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan and other applicable
plans, policies or ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners considered said Hearing
Examiner's report of the public hearing and his recommendation for the vacation request;
and
WHEREAS, compensation required pursuant to RCW 36.87.120 and Jefferson
County Road Vacation Ordinance No. 3-85 has been met,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following be vacated and
abandoned pursuant to RCW 36.87.140 and Jefferson County Road Vacation Ordinance No.
3-85: All that portion of the Glen Cove Road, County Road No. 693619, lying in Blocks
10, 19, 24, and 33 of the plat of Phillips Bay View Addition, as recorded in Volume 2, Page
87 of Plats, records of Jefferson County, and lying easterly of the following described line:
beginning at the southwest corner of said Block 33; thence northeasterly to the intersection
of the north line of said Block 10 and the easterly margin of Railroad Avenue as shown in
said Plat; also that portion of unopened Stevens Avenue lying between Blocks 19 and 24
of said plat of Phillips Bayview Addition and easterly of the above described line and
westerly of the westerly margin of North Otto Street, County Road No. 689319; also all lot
lines in Blocks 19 and 24 lying East of Glen Cove Road.
