An Intent to Vacate
a County Road Right
of Way:

WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners that
it is not in the public interest to retain as county road right of way:
The portion of the South Bay Lane, County Road Number 508909, described as follows:
That portion of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 16, Township
28 North, Range 1 East, W.M., in Jefferson County, Washington, lying westerly of Ludlow
Beach Tracts, as per Volume 3 of Plats, Page 27, records of said Jefferson County;
lying northerly of Paradise Bay Road right of way, also known as County Road 503609,
as conveyed by deed recorded in Volume 1 of Road Waivers, Page 31, and recorded under
Auditor's File Nos, 191355 and 191398; and lying southerly of the following described
line: Beginning at an existing 4 inch by 4 inch concrete monument with a brass pin
in the center of the cul-de-sac adjoining Lots 8 through 12, Ludlow Point Tracts, as
recorded in Volume 4 of Plats, Page 6, records of said Jefferson County; thence
S50044' OO"W 309.64 feet to an existing 4 inch by 4 inch concrete monument with a brass
pin on the south shoulder of a gravel road, said monument marking the centerline of
the platted road in said plat of Ludlow Point Tracts; thence S55°22' 02 "W 161.17 feet
to an existing 4 inch by 4 inch concrete monument marking the intersection of West
Ludlow Point Road and South Bay Lane as shown in said plat of Ludlow Point Tracts;
thence S08°05' 52"W along the centerline of said South Bay Lane a distance of 978.29
feet; thence N81054'08"W 178,08 feet to the west line of the southwest quarter of the
southwest quarter of said Section 16 and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of this described
line; thence S81054'08"E 728,24 feet to the west line of said Ludlow Beach Tracts and
the terminus of this described line.
and in contemplation of the language of the statute R.C.W, 36.87,010, same is useless,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, and the County Engineer is hereby directed to examine
said road and report his opinion as to whether this county road right of way should be
vacated and abandoned and all other facts, matters and things which will be of importance
to the Board, and that such report be filed as soon as possible. The hearing date for the
proposed vacation is F'plwl1"'''Y 'i 1990, at the hour of 10: 30 ~.M., in the
Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington.
