HB 2528 and SB 6358 }
Additional state Funding for }
Transportation }
RESOLUTION NO. 23-90
WHEREAS, the need for increased funding for transportation has
been identified in order to keep up with increased growth in
Jefferson County, and
WHEREAS, the Road Jurisdiction Committee has identified the
need for improved transportation funding throughout Washington
state, and
WHEREAS, without increases in transportation funding,
Jefferson County will not be able to meet the projected needs
identified in the 6 year Transportation Improvement Plan, and
WHEREAS, HB 2528 and SB 6358 have been introduced in the 1990
legislature to provide additional funding for transportation.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Jefferson County Board
of Commissioners supports the passage of HB 2528 and SB 6358, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Jefferson County Board of
Commis~iQn~rs acknowledges the support of Governor Booth Gardner
forT?sp~t~tion funding.
