Vacation of a Portion of
Atlantic Avenue and of
Pacific Avenue in Cove Addition

WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has reviewed a road
vacation petition submitted by Michael J. Carr; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing
on the road vacation petition on February 26, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners considered testimony
of the public, comments from applicable departments, agencies and offices, and
recommendation from the Jefferson County Public Works Department and Jefferson
County Planning Commission at the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners determined at the
public hearing that the public will benefit from the vacation of a portion of
the road and such vacation complies with the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan
and other applicable plans, policies or ordinances; and
WHEREAS, compensation required pursuant to RCW 36.87,120 and Jefferson
County Road Vacation Ordinance No, 3-85 has been met,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following be vacated and abandoned
pursuant to RCW 36.87.140 and Jefferson County Road Vacation Ordinance No. 3-
85: that portion of Atlantic Avenue lying between Blocks 7 and 8 of Cove Addition
as recorded in Vol. 2, Page 27 of Plats, records of Jefferson County, State of
Washington, and that portion of Pacific Avenue lying between Blocks 8 and 21 of
said plat, along with all lot lines in Blocks 7 and 8 of said plat.
