WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF A Resolution Declaring a Permit) Moratorium on Lands Converted from Class I, II, & III Forest Practices RESOLUTION 35-90 WHEREAS, certain lands in Jefferson County have had timber harvested pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 76,09 RCW, the Forest Practices Act; and WHEREAS, these lands have been harvested as a Class I, II or III forest practice; and WHEREAS, conversion acti vi ties which have occurred wi thin three years after completion of the forest practice constitute a violation of the provision of the Forest Practices Act, and lands so converted <3.1'e subject to a six (6) year moratorium for the issuance of any local permit (Reference RCW 76.09.060), NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that all lands within Jefferson County which have been harvested as a Class I, II, or III forest practice, and which have been subdivjded, prepared for subdivision, or otherwise rendered inconsistent for commercial -c 1mber productj on wi th.in three ( 3) years following the forest practice, shall not be issued any approval or permit to construct or otherwise alter the property, including but not limited to road approach permits, building permits, and utility permits. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said prohibition shall be applicable to forest practice permits issued on or after January 1, 1987. \' '.' .\..:- 16 ~~r' 00 2q16' fJ:.,¡ ... t.,., 100% Recycled Paper BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said prohibi tion shall be in effect for a period of six (6) years following the forest practice, unless said conversion receives approval for conversion pursuant to Jefferson County Resolution 27_-90, Timber Conversion Policy. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any permi t issued on property subject to this moratorium remain valid, however, no subsequent permit shall be issued. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS ~'J~ 1990.
