PlV '1' ~(p -q (} .: ... ,,---. _19 COUNTY OF JEFFERSOH STATE OF WASHINGTON In the Matter of x RESOLUTION NO. 75-90 Authorizing Application to the x Interagency Committee for Outdoor x Recreation for Funding Assistance x WHEREAS, the draft "Comprehensive Parks Plan" for Jefferson County identifies a parcel of land in the port Hadlock part of the County; and WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Marine Recreation Land Act, state and federal funding assistance has been authorized anè;l made availaÞle to aid in financing the cost of land for parks and the construction of outdoor recreational facilities of local public bodies; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners considers it in the best public interest to acquire a park and open space in the central part of the County generally located in Port Hadlock; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, 1. Tbat the Public Works Department of Jefferson County be authorized to. make formal application to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation for funding assistance, 2. That any fund assistance so received to be used in the acquisition of land in the Central part of the County, 3. That the County's share for the project will be derived from general funds~ 4. Jefferson County does hereby certify that the County is responsible to support all non-cash cOlnmitments to the local share should they not materialize. 5. That any property acquired with financial aid through the Interagency Committee for OutdQor Recreation be placed in use as an outdoor recreation facility and be retained in such use in perpetuity unless as otherwise provided and agreed to by the Jefferson County, the Interaqency commi ttee for 'outdoor Recreation, and any affected. federal agency, and Resolui:icn Authoriai"9 AppliaaUon for IAC Grani: 1 'VcOt 1"6: ¡V<\'T.::r 00,' ) ~f} ."* ~ 54l~ ~-"'" ... 4__ ~ .. That this resolution become part of a formal application to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation, That ,adequate notification has been given and opportunity provided for public input and that published notices have identified affected flood plains and/or wetlands, if applicable. That Jefferson County does certify that the County is the owner of thé land to be developed and based on current knowledge, provides assurance there are no encumbrances on the land which would restrict recreation use of the land as proposed in this application.
