Account Grant x
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 79.24.580, RCW, state funding
assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in financing the cost
of land and the construction of facilities for public access to. and aquatic land
enhancement of, state-owned aquatic lands, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners considers it in the
best public interest to acquire a parcel of land adjacent to Oak Bay Park.
generally located South of the Portage Canal and South of Port Hadlock.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED. that
1. the Jefferson County Public Works Department be authorized to make
formal application to the Department of, Natural Resources.
2. any fund assistance so received to be used in the acquisition of five
(5) acres with 700 feet of waterfront adjacent,to Oak Bay Park,
3. the County's share for the project will be derived from general
funds,
4. any property acquired with financial aid through the Aquatic Land
Enhancement Account be placed in use in accordance with the terms
of the financial aid approved by the Department of Natural Resources,
5. this resolution become part of a formal application to the Department
of Natural Resources,
6.
adequate notification has been given and opportunity
