" ... t: Þ RESOLUTION NO 82-90 ESTABLISHING TRAVEL ALLOWANCE RATE FOR COUNTY EMPLOYEES USING PRIVATE AUTOMOBILES WHEREAS, the escalation o~ automobile maintenance and insurance costs is causing an undue 'hardship on County Officials and employees to perform necessary public business in their respective private automobiles; and! WHEREAS, the State Legisl~ture has authorized the Board of County Commissioners in each respective county to set the amount of travel allowance for eachimile of necessary travel by , any/all County Officials and employ~es, therefore; BE IT RESOLVED, that effective August 6, 1990 County Officials aþd employees traveling o~ public business in their respective private automobiles Shalt be entitled to reimbursement for mileage I at the rate of $.25 per:milé. MEMORANDUM ~: All County Employees Linda s~ j Fiscal LW Jùne 29, 1990 FROM: DATE: U: TRAVEL REGULATION CHANGES The Office of the Administrator for ~he Courts (OAC) received notice from the Office of Financial Management (OFM) that several travel regulations will change July 1, 1990. These changes will be as follows: (1) ·Work place" is defined as the building where a state employee normally performs his/her work. (2) Payment for meals at meetings or training sessions when they are away from an employee's work place will be allowed. The meeting must be to conduct state business or to provide formal training to state employees. The meals must also be an integral part of the meeting or session. This means that meals can be paid even if the employee is still in his/her official work station or residence, and/or 'the ·three hour 'thresholdu rule is not met. (3) Mileage rate will increase to $:26/udle. (4) Lodging for certain high cost areas will increase. A complete list is attached. (5) The lodging exception rule (75% rule) will add an additional exception. Payment can be made for actual lodging expenses when high seasonal rates are in effect for a particular area. Payment can also be made when international or national events result in higher lodging expenses (i.e. Goodwill Games in seattle). The OAC Travel Rules and Regulations manual is being updated. "" ~ .- RESOLUTION NO. 11-89 ESTABLISHING TRAVEL ALLOWANCE RATE FOR COUNTY EMPLOYEES USING PRIVATE AUTOMOBILES WHEREAS, the escalation of automobile maintenance and insurance costs causing an undue hardship on County Officials and employees to perform necessary public business in their respective private automobiles; and WHEREAS, the State Legislature has authorized the Board of in each respective district to set the amount of County travel Commissioners allowance for each mile of necessary travel by any/all County Officials and employees, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that effective February -b-, 1989 County Officials and employees traveling on public business in their respective private automobil- es shall be 'entitled to reimb1.lrsement for mileage at the rate of $.21 per mile. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution repeals and replaces Resolution No. 36-80 adopted April 1, 1980.
