RESOLUTION NO. 98-90 HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS/EXTENSIONS VARIOUS COUNTY DEPARTMENTS
WHEREAS, various Jefferson County Departments have requested either
budget appropriations for their 1990 budgets due to additional expenditures
which were not anticipated at the time of preparing their said budgets, or
budget extensions to allow expendi tures of unanticipated reimbursements
received from fees, and/or the state and Federal government; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that a
need and emergency exists that could not have been foreseen ~ contemplated
at the time of preparing the budgets for 1990 and the sum of $29,010.00 is
needed for appropriation from the unencumbered Current Expense Fund;
$7,500.00 is needed for appropriation from the unencumbered Hotel/Motel Tax
Fund~. and the sum of $152,560.20 is needed for certain budget extensions due
to unanticipated State funding for the Law and Justice Departments, and grant
funding and/ or fees for the Juvenile Services, Heal th and Human Services
Departments as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby
declared, and that appropriations and extensions be made for the above noted
Departments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said
emergency appropriations and extensions and that said hearing be held in the
County Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend Washington, on the
8th day of October, 1990, at the hour of 10:00 a.m., and that notice of said
hearing be pUblished in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that
at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or
against the appropriations for such alleged emergency.
