RESOLUTION NO. 108-90
ESTABLISHING TRAVEL ALLOWANCE RATE FOR
COUNTY EMPLOYEES USING PRIVATE AUTOMOBILES
WHEREAS, the escalation of automobile maintenance and
insurance costs is causing an undue hardship on County Officials
and employees to perform necessary public business in their
respective private automobiles; and
WHEREAS, the state Legislature has authorized the Board
of County Commissioners in each respective County to set the amount
of travel allowance for each mile of necessary travel by any/all
County Officials and employees, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, that effective upon approval of this
Resolution, County Officials and employees traveling on public
business in their respective automobiles shall be entitled to
reimbursement for mileage at the rate established by the Internal
Revenue Service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution repeals and
replaces Resolution No. 82-90 adopted August 6, 1990.
