In the matter of Dissolution }
of the Jefferson County }
Salary Survey Program }
RESOLUT:ION NO. 117-90
WHEREAS, Jefferson County formally adopted a SALARY SURVEY
PROGRAM for all County employees except Elected Officials,
Department Heads and Union members on January 11, 1988 by passage
of Resolution 5-88, and
WHEREAS, this system was implemented at the request of the
Jefferson County Employees Guild after a salary survey was
completed including job descriptions, step and grade schedule,
implementation worksheets, manual, and specified policies and
procedures, and
WHEREAS, a part of this program included the establishment of
the Salary Administration Committee and the Salary Review Committee
to help administrate the program, and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Employees Guild no longer exists
and the employees are now represented by the united Food and
Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) #1001. The UFCW has negotiated a
contract for these employees which negates the need for the Salary
Survey Program.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Jefferson County Board
of Commissioners hereby rescind Resolution 5-88 and all Salary
Survey system functions cease, and the Salary Administration
Committee and the Salary Review Committee are dissolved.
