NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Port Townsend has
filed an application with the Board of County Commissioners of
Jefferson County, Washington, for a franchise to construct, operate
and maintain a potable water distribution system, authorized under
Title 56 RCW, including those common under Title 56 and 57 per
56.20.015, consisting of installation and service connections upon,
under, over, across and along the rights of way of the county roads
of Jefferson County, Washington, more particularly described as
follows:
Those county roads lying in the S. 1/2 Sec. 32 and in Sec. 33
in Township 31 North, Range 1 West, W.M.; AND in Sec. 4, Sec.
5, Sec. 31, Sec. 32, Sec. 29, Sec. 28 (except Old Ft. Townsend
State Park), Sec. 27 (except Old Ft. Townsend State Park and
Kala Point SUbdivision), Sec. 33, Sec. 34, and Sec. 35 in
Township 30 North, Range 1 West, W.M.; AND in Sec. 5, Sec. 2;
Sec. 3, Sec. 12, Sec. 11, Sec. 10, Sec. 15, Sec. 14, and Sec.
1 in Township 29 North, Range 1 West, W.M.; AND in Sec. 6
(Except Indian Island Navy Base), Sec. 7 (Except Indian Island
Navy Base) of Township 29 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
The Franchise Application is for a period of,' twenty-five (25)
years.
The Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State
of Washington, has fixed Monday, the lOt hday of J u 1 Y , 1989,
at the hour of 10:30 a.m. o'clock in the Office of the County
Commissioners, Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend,
Washington, as the time and place for the hearing on said
application. Such hearing may be adjourned from time to time by
order of the Board. After such hearing the Board will take such
action with reference to the application as the Board shall deem
appropriate for the public interest.
