WHEREAS, the Jefferson Count~ Board of Commissioners has reviewed a road
vacation petition submitted by Art~ur and Kathleen Fields; and
IIIIEREAS, the Jefferson County I Board of COIDIIIissioners held a public hearing
on the road vacation petition on A~gust 14, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson countiBoard of Commissioners considered testimony
of the public, comments from apP.li able departments, agencies and offices, and
recommendation from the Jefferson ounty Public Works Department and Jefferson
County Planning Commission at the public hearing; and
I
WHEREAS, the Jefferson Coun~y Board of Commissioners determined at the
public hearing that the public wil~ benefit from the vacation o£ a portion of
the road and such vacation complies !with the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan
and other applicable plans, policiðS or ordinances; and
WHEREAS, compensation requirbd pursuant to RCW 36.87.120 and Jefferson
County Road Vacation Ordinance No. 13-85 has been met,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED! that the following be vacated and abandoned
pursuant to RCW 36.87.140 and Jeff~rson County Road Vacation Ordinance No. 3-
85: that portion of Peabody Way bei~g 60 feet wide by approximately 170 feet long
lying adjacent to Lots 1 and 11 ofl' Block 5 and Lot 16, Block 3 of Trail's End
Homesites as recorded in Volume 3, Page 30 of Plats, records of Jefferson
County, State of Washington, and ying westerly of a line commencing at the
Northeast corner of said Lot 11, Bloþk 5, and terminating at the Southeast corner
of said Lot 16, Block 3. A walkin~ trail lying three feet on each side of the
centerline shall be reserved for Uì by the public, In compliance with Jefferson
County Ordinance No. 3-85 and R. .W. 36.87.140, an easement shall also be
retained for the construction, re ir, and maintenance o£ public utilities.
ADOPTED THIS 114' DAY OF I SEPTEMBER , 1989.
