Home My WebLink About102 89 ~ JEFFERSON COUNTY, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. lO?-R9 A RESOLUTION TO EXCHANGE REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF RELIEVING THE EXISTING ENCROACHMENT ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AT EAST BEACH COUNTY PARK WHEREAS, Jefferson County is the owner of certain real property located on Marrowstone Island commonly referred to as East Beach Park, the description of which is set out on Attachment "A" and wherein one of the park buildings currently encroaches on Tax 25, the Thornily property"; and WHEREAS, Mike Thorniley is the owner of certain real property located on Marrowstone Island which has an irregular boundary where it abuts East Beach County Park, the description of which is set out on Attachement "B"; and WHEREAS, Thornily is desirous of exchanging a three foot by approximately 190 foot strip of land to the County for a 16 foot by 75 foot strip of County land, which exchange would end the encroachment and straighten the boundary line between East Beach County Park and Tax 25; and WHEREAS, the property to be exchanged is not necessary to the future foreseeable needs of the County; and WHEREAS, the exchange of County-owned real property for private property is authorized by RCW 36.34.330; Now, Therefore, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney should proceed to present this matter to the Superior Court for authorization to exchange the parcels of property described in Attachments "A" and "B" herein. .. · .
