Temporary Restriction of Traf- X
fic and Reduction of Speed X
Limit on Flagler Road, County X
Road No. 952707 X
WHEREAS the planned construction work on the Flagler Road,
County Road No. 952707, to be accomplished under County road
project No. CS0690 shall cause a reduction to one lane of traffic
on the Portage Canal Bridge No. 18E and on the approaches to the
bridge, and
WHEREAS restricting the traffic to one lane is the only
alternative practical to accomplish the work of constructing
reinforced concrete approach slabs to the bridge, and
WHEREAS a potential hazard exists to the motoring public and
the construction workers, and
WHEREAS Chapter 47.48 RCW authorizes the restriction of
traffic on roads;
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the said Flagler Road from M.P.
0.60 to M,P. 0.90 be restricted to one lane of traffic during the
construction of the said approach slabs not to exceed 20
consecutive calendar days, commencing after February 15, 1988,
and terminating November 18, 1988, or until sucn earlier date
that it is determined to be safe for traffic, and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the maximum speed limit be
reduced to 25 miles per hour, unless posted lower by the County
or it's contractor, within the same limits and period of time.
