RESOLUTION NO. 34~~ª
INCREASE TO PETTY CASH FUND
PLANNING/BUILDING DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Planning/Building
Department has requested an increase in their Office Petty Cash
Revolving Fund from the amount of $50.00, established by
Resolution No. 3-87, to the sum of $100.00, to cover cash
transactions in their office in a timely manner; and
WHEREAS, the extension to the said Revolving Fund was
not included in the Planning/Building Department Budget for 1988;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that an emergency exists which
could not have been foreseen at the time of adoption of said
budget, and the extension of the Planning/Building Department's
Revol v ing Fund by the sum of $50.00 is necessary in order to
conduct the affairs of the office in a prompt and orderly manner;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Treasurer be, and she
is hereby authorized to issue a Treasurer's check in the amount
of $50.00 payable to the Planning/Building Department, for the
purpose of increasing their Revolving Fund balance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the subject matter hereof
is one to meet needs and this Resolution shall be in force and
take effect without further notice or hearing.

less than other off ice sU9pliers.. especialJy the pu,rchase of copier paper.
Th:iS year we plan to continue our me:¡¡bership and pï:ïrehase at least half our
su!)p1ies from Costeo.
One problem we encm:tntered trJaS Costco does not have crec:iit aCcOlmts; all
::;JuX"chases need to be pa.id in cash. 'J'ue to the county's accOlmting system,
this is very difficult. A solu.t:.ion to this pr.'oblem would be to increase our
petty cash fï.l.1'1d from $50 to $100. Therefore.. \lie ask that a resolution be
adopted to instruct the cOu'1'1ty trea.surer to issue a $50 check payable to the
Jefferson County Planning and Building Department. (Attached for your
information is a copy of the last resolution adopted, to ,tncrease oW::' petty
cash fund.)
