RESOLUTION NO. 52-88
Providing for a Loan x
For the Necessary Operation of x
The Solid Waste Department x
WHEREAS, the present financial condition of the Solid
Waste Department Fund precludes the operation thereof without
borrowing; and
WHEREAS, Engrossed House Bill No. 248, Section 1,
adopted 1971 First Ex. Session, in accordance with the provisions
of RCW 36.40, permits borrowing when used for a specific purpose,
which in this instance shall be the necessary operation of the
Solid Waste Department, and the net amount needed for the said
purpose is the sum of $65,000.00, now therefore,
IT IS HEREBY FOUND AND DECLARED that the public
welfare, convenience and the uninterrupted public service
provided by the Solid Waste Department requires this Board of
County Commissioners to proceed in manner and form as herein
determined, and that the sum of $65,000.00 be borrowed from the
County Road Fund, the same to be repaid in full along with an
interest payment of three per cent per annum by May, 1989.
PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that nothing shall prevent the
sooner liquidation of said loan if financially feasible.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, by the Board of County
Commissioners that the County Treasurer be, and she is hereby
authorized and empowered, to transfer the amount of $65,000.00
from Road Fund No. 13600, unencumbered balance, into the
Jefferson County Solid Waste Department.
