RESOLUTION NO. 75-88
ESTABLISHING SALARIES OF COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICTS
AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 53-84
WHEREAS, R.C.W. 36.40.205 permits the Jefferson County
Commissioners to increase the salary of the County legislative
authority prior to the election of a county official to that
position, which shall become effective upon the commencement of
the term next following such election; and
WHEREAS, the increase in administrative duties and
responsibilities imposed by the legislature upon the County
Commissioners mandate a salary increase with yearly increments
added thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Jefferson
County Commissioners, that pursuant to R.C.W. 36.40.205, the
County Commissioners' annual salaries are hereby established as
follows, effective as of January 1 of each year stated:
Section I Salaries for Commissioner Districts No. 1 & 2
The salary of the Jefferson County Commissioners for
District No. 1 and District No. 2 shall be:
1989 - Twenty eight thousand and nO/100 dollars
1990 - Twenty nine thousand and nO/100 dollars
1991 - Thirty thousand and nO/100 dollars
1992 - Thirty one thousand and nO/l00 dollars
($28,000.00)

Section II Salary for Commissioner District No.3
The salary of the Jefferson County Commissioner for
District No. 3 shall remain unchanged for the years 1989 and 1990.
Effective January 1, 1991, the annual salary shall be increased as
follows:
1991 - Thirty thousand and nO/l00 dollars ($30,000.00)
1992 - Thirty one thousand and nO/100 dollars ($31,000.00)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Commissioners'
salaries shall be reviewed annually during the budget process.
Should the economic climate indicate that salary increases should
be made, such changes may be
without further resolution.
