A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF ,',
CAPE GEORGE SEWER DISTRICT NO.1, JEFFERSON COUNTY, ,!.,c4,~7":~.~"
WASHINGTON, AND AUTHORIZING THE FORMATION OF A /f-. '" ~:I,
U.L.I.D. BY THE DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF
COLLECTING AND TRANSMITTING WASTEWATER TO THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND FOR TREATMENT.
WHEREAS, the Cape George Sewer District No. 1
Commissioners, by their Resolution No. 5-17-88, adopted at a
public hearing held on May 17, 1988, approved a general
comprehensive plan for treatment of wastewater (the
"Comprehensive Plan"); and
WHEREAS, Cape George Sewer District No. 1 is developing an
Interlocal Agreement with the City of Port Townsend to permit
treatment of wastewater at the new secondary treatment plant of
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City's secondary treatment plant is now being
designed to accommodate Cape George Sewer District No. 1
wastewater; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan and this plan of action has
the approval of the Jefferson County Public Works Department,
the Health Department and the Planning/Building Department with
the recommendation that two specified conditions of approval be
included to ensure that as the District grows, its growth will
remain consistent with the provisions of the Jefferson County
Comprehensive Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF JEFFERSON
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that the Comprehensive Plan lS approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Board that the formation of
a U.L.I.D. by Cape George Sewer District No.1, to permit
financing and construction according to the Wastewater
Facilities Plan, May 1988 (which is the Cape George Sewer

District No. 1 Comprehensive Plan) is hereby approved with the
inclusion of the following conditions:
(1) No individual or group connections shall be
allowed to the sewer interceptor, outside
established district and city boundaries, unless
the requesting property is formally annexed into
the Cape George Sewer District or the City of
Port Townsend.
(2) No sewer service will be provided nor
annexations allowed to areas designated by the
Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan as "rural"
or "resource production", unless said area is
first redesignated to a land use classification
where urban and/or suburban type utilities are
appropriate.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FORMATION OF AN U.L.I.D
BY CAPE GEORGE SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 For
THE PURPOSE OF COLLECTING AND TRANSMIT-
TING WASTEWATER TO THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND FOR TREATMENT
WHEREAS, the Cape George Sewer District No. 1
