RESOLUTION NO. 83-88
HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS
VARIOUS COUNTY OFFICES
WHEREAS, various Jefferson County Offices have insufficient
funds in their 1988 Budget of Expenditures to cover additional
expenditures in the amount of $519,725.00 which were not anticipated
at the time of preparing their said budgets; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners that a need and emergency exists as could not have
been foreseen or contemplated at the time of making the budgets for
1988 and it is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for
the best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriations be
made; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that
appropriations be made for the Jefferson County Offices listed
below in the amounts so stated for the purpose of making the proper
adjustments to the 1988 Current Expense Budgets:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on
said emergency appropriations and that said hearing be held in the
County Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend,
Washington, on the 6th day of september, 1988, at the hour of
10:00a.m. and that notice of said hearing be published in the
official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said hearing any
interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the
appropriation for such alleged emergency.
