DISTRICT 3 Resolution No. 17-87 Jefferson County Proclamation of Emergency Whereas, the Jefferson County Department of Public Works has reported to the Board of County Commissioner, beginning March 5, 1987, unusual weather conditions consisting of heavy rain have caused a disaster by creating extensive damage to Jefferson County Quinault- South Shore Road #911607; Whereas, there is a present emergency which necessitates activation of the Jefferson County Disaster Preparedness Plan and utilization of emergency powers granted pursuant to RCW 36.40.180; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: SECTION 1 That it is hereby declared that there is an emergency due to the flooding conditions in Jefferson County; therefore, designated departments are authorized to enter into contracts and incur obligations necessary to combat such disaster, protecting health and safety of persons and . property, and providing emergency assistance to victims of such disaster. Ji1.JoFf()J:511~1 COMPREHENSIVE FLOOD CONTROL MANAGEMENT PLANS CERTIFICATION CHECKLIST This checklist will serve as the basis for certifying eligibility for Flood Control Assistance Account Program funds. Chapter 86.26.050 RCW requires that comprehensive flood control management plans must be completed and adopted within three years of the date of certification that they are being prepared in order for eligible municipal corporations to continue eligibility for FCAAP funding. Prior to execution of a grant by the Department of Ecology, this checklist must be completed and submitted. Once a completed checklist is reviewed and approved by Ecology, conditions related to the comprehensive flood control management plan development will be incorporated into the grant agreement. The date of certification will be the date of final grant execution by Ecology. INSTRUCTIONS: Please fill in the following information. 1.
