Home My WebLink About031 87 ~c ~ thJ2J:&"l_J//"6/~1 RESOLUTION NO. 31-87 DIVIDING VOTING PRECINCT 602-QUEETS INTO TWO PRECINCTS 602 and 603 WHEREAS, Voting Precinct 602-Queets, located at the western end of Jefferson County, has been a Paper Ballot Precinct under the pro- visions of R.C.W. 29.04.040 which states that such precinct shall contain less than three hundred (300) registered voters, and WHEREAS, Precinct 602-Queets, has increased in number of registered voters to 163 voters as of this date, and WHEREAS, it is now deemed necessary to divide Precinct 602-Queets into two (2) Vote-By-Mail precincts to accommodate proposed voting system, and WHEREAS, these precincts shall be designated as Precinct 602-Queets and 603-Clearwater, the legal description of each precinct being hereby attached. Attachment A is Precinct 602-Queets, and Attachment B is Precinct 603-Clearwater, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that these precincts be established and shall be effective no later than June 30, 1987, as prescribed by R.C.W. 29.04.040, Paragraph 2, which states that no precinct boundaries shall be changed during the period starting as of the thirtieth day prior to the first day for candidates to file for the primary election, i.e. July 27, 1987, and ending with the day of the general election, November 3, 1987.
