RESOLUTION NO. 41A-87
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A CONSOLIDATED JUVENILE SERVICES PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the 1983 Legislature, through ESHB 431, Sections
1-5 and 13, appropriated to the Division of Juvenile Rehabilitation,
funds for juvenile justice services defined as Consolidated Juvenile
Services. These funds were appropriated for use in establishing
Community Correction Programs and for the provision of services for
offender youth on county levels. By this Bill the Community Cor-
rections Program was replaced by the Consolidated Juvenile Services
Program.
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners find
that there is a need for a Consolidated Juvenile Services Program
and that such program should be administered by the Jefferson County
Juvenile and Family Court Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of
Jefferson County Commissioners that:
Section 1: The Jefferson County Board- of Commissioners
does intend to participate and implement a Consolidated Juvenile
Services Program in this County for 1987 - 1989 and with the
approval of William E. Howard, Judge of the Superior Court for Jeff-
erson County, will make application for funds available through the
Division of Juvenile Rehabilitation, Consolidated Juvenile Services.
Section 2: The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners
will coordinate the planning, certification and the making and sub-
mission of claims for reimbursement from said Division of Juvenile
Rehabilitation.
