RESOLUTION NO. 50-87
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND INTENT TO SELL
COUNTY/STATE SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners, in
conjunction with the Washington State Department of Natural Resources
has determined that it would be in the best interests of the public
to dispose of all personal property and fixtures contained within the
building located at the foot of Taylor Street, Port Townsend, Wash-
ington, more commonly known as "Union Wharf"; and
WHEREAS, an inventory has been taken of all equipment
located at said ~Union Wharf"; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Natural Re-
sources is agreeable to an auction by sealed bid of the County's
and State's combined personal property and fixtures located at the
said "Union Wharf"; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared for
the purpose of holding a Public Auction by sealed bid to dispose of
all surplus personal property and fixtures owned jointly by Jeffer-
son County and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources,
located within the building located at the said "Union Wharf"; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a Public Hearing be held
thereon to admit evidence for or against the propriety and advis-
ability of the proposed auction.
