Milepost 0.245. County Road No. 447608. Proiect No. CR1682, will require detouring traffic around the construction zone via a one-lane bypass, and WHEREAS, R.C.W. 46.61.415 pennits local authorities to decrease or increase the maximum legal speed limit on County Roads when the maximum speed is greater or less than is reasonably safe, and WHEREAS, the County Engineer has determined that a speed reduction through the construction zone is appropriate for this project, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the maximum speed limit through the construction zone for this project shall be temporarily reduced ftom 40 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour for the duration of the construction project, in accordance with the approved Plans and Specifications on file with the Jefferson County Public Works Department. t£<. Fischbach, County Administrator Frank Gifford, Public Works Director "9-6.Þ To: Agenda Date: August 16, 2004 Subject: Temporary Speed Reduction on South Point Rd., Shine Creek Bridge on South Point Road, Milepost 0.245, County Road No. 447608, Project No. CR1682 Statement of Issue: Planned construction work for the Shine Creek Bridge On South Point Road, Milepost 0.245, will require detouring traffic around the construction zone via a one-lane bypass, and the County Engineer has determined that a speed reduction through the construction zone is appropriate for this project. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's & Con's: Speed reduction through the construction zone during this project will increase safety for the motoring public and for construction workers. There are no perceived disadvantages of taking this measure. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: No impact.
