RESOLUTION NO. 65-04
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Auditor's Office has five cash/change drawers for the
various programs they administer; and
WHEREAS, ajob share position has been established in the Licensing Division which
will require an additional cash drawer; and
WHEREAS, the Auditor's Office agrees that it would be in the best interest of the County
to ensure compliance with the Cash handling Policy and provide increased program control by
establishing an additional cash drawer.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners that the Auditor's Office be granted an additional cash/change drawer in the
amount of $80.00 and the County Treasurer be authorized to issue a Treasurer's check in the
amount of$80.00 payable to the Jefferson County Auditor's Office.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that this cash/change drawer shall be used only for the
Licensing Division, and it shall be cashed out and balanced each night at closing following the
procedures outlined by the Auditor's Office and the Cash Handling Policy.

We have hired a new person to perform licensing functions. It is ajob share position and
will require a new cash drawer. The starting cash in all our licensing cash drawers is
$80.00
