RESOLUTION NO. 60-95}
WHEREAS, certain Jefferson County officials have official duties and responsibilities
which require the use of motor vehicles. These duties and responsibilities require the use a County
owned vehicle or reimbursement for the use of a private vehicle; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, in compliance with RCW
42.24.090, minimize the number of County owned and operated vehicles to reduce costs as much
as possible, have authorized specific County Officials to utilize their private automobiles for all
official transportation within the County; and
WHEREAS, the newly created positions of Director and Deputy Director of Public
Services are both positions with official duties and responsibilities which require the use of a motor
vehicle and in order for the County to benefit from the savings as defined in Resolution No. 21-94
it is appropriate to offer the persons in these positions the option to utilize their private vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that based on the findings of fact (See
Resolution No. 21-94), the following Jefferson County Officials are hereby added to the list of
officials authorized to utilize their private automobiles for all official transportation within the
County for which payment of $275.00 per month shall be made by a vouchered expense claims
warrant:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this payment shall be in lieu of the use of any
County owned vehicle and shall be the full payment for all automobile expenses incurred WITHIN
the County and that the provisions for receiving such payment shall be the same as defined in
Resolution No. 21-94.
