WHEREAS, emergency construction work on Oak Bay Road, County Road No. 569908,
shall cause interruption and unavoidable delays to tr:affic, and
WHEREAS, potential hazard exists to the motoring public and the construction
workers, and
WHEREAS, alternate routes are available to the motoring public, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 47.48 RC.W. authorized closure of roads,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that said Oak Bay Road from milepost 8.65 (Walker Way)
to milepost 9.42 (Osprey Ridge Drive) be closed to all traffic, commencing on September 10,
1995, and terminating on November 20, 1995, or until such earlier or later date that it is
determined to be safe for traffic.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY
ROAD CLOSURE
Jefferson COWlty'S Department of Public Works has armoWlced plans to repair the
Oak Bay Road at mile post 9.38 near the Port Ludlow shopping center begiruúng in
September. The objective of the work is to repair a section of Oak Bay Road that
has sloughed and settled due to fill failure. The fill was originally constructed
across a ravine over a timber trestle, which was abandoned in place. The project
site lies between the Paradise\Oak Bay Road intersection and the Oak Bay
Road/WaIker Way intersection. Construction is expected to fW1 from September 11
Wltil approximately November 20. For ~ion o(tbe project, a~
including night and weekend traffic, will be detoured onto Osprey Ridge Drive and
