In the Matter of
Organizational Realignment
of Animal Services

RESOLUTION NO. 86-95
Whereas, Animal Services is the only County operated function within the Community
Services Organization, and
Whereas, Community Services is being designed to be contracted or grants-in-aid services
and not maintain operating personnel, and
Whereas, the mission and responsibilities of Animal Services closely aligns with the
environmental Health Division of the Health and Human Services Department, and
Whereas, said organization has demonstrated that it has sufficient management and
operational capacity to support the Animal Services function,
Now Therefore Be It Resolved, that Animal Services shall be realigned to be functionally
aligned with the Environmental Health Division of Health and Human Services, and
Be It Further Resolved, said realignment shall be transitioned through the remainder of
1995 and be completed and become fully operational by January 1, 1996.
