I {/ì RESOLUTION NO. 97-87 HEARING NOTICE PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS/EXTENSIONS VARIOUS COUNTY DEPARTMENTS WHEREAS, five Jefferson County Departments have requested appropriations to their 1987 budgets to cover the following additional expenditures which were not anticipated at the time of preparing the said budgets; Auditor Juvenile/Family Crt. Services Law Library Parks/Recreation Prosecuting Attorney Total: $ 5,711.34 3,638.31 800.00 9,824.27 2,000.00 $21,973.92 and WHEREAS, the Human Services Department has received additional State funding in the amount of $33,425 which needs to be included in the Mental Health budget for 1987; and WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contemplated at the time of making the budget for 1987 and the sum of $21,973.92 is necessary to meet such need and emergency for the five above noted departments and is for the best interest of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made, and that the additional funds be added to the Mental Health budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared and that an appropriation be made for the Departments listed for the total amount of $21,973.92 to pay for unanticipated expenses and to include additional funds in the amount of $33,425 received from the State of Washington in the Mental Health Budget. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said emergency appropriation/extension and that said hearing be held in the County Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 21st day of December, 1987, at the hour of 10:00a.m., and that notice of said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
