RESOLUTION NO. 10.85
ORDER OF VACATION
PORTION OF BECK AND KIRKPATRICK ROAD
This matter coming to be heard on this 7th day of January, 1985 upon the
report of the Jefferson County Public Works Department and Jefferson County
Planning and Building Department with respect to the vacation set forth in a
petition for vacation of a county road submitted by F.R. and R.E. Butler, and it
appeared to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners that a notice of the hear-
ing had been posted and published for the time and in the manner provided by law,
proof of such posting and publication being now on file herein, and said board
having the other evidence adduced, and being fully advised in the premises, does
now find and determine that the public will be benefited by the vacation thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following be vacated and
abandoned pursuant to RCW 36.87.140: all that portion of the Beck and
Kirkpatrick Road, an abandoned county road established July 1980, being 30 feet
in width and 800 feet in length, more or less, beginning at the southeasterly
margin of State Route 101 in the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 24, Township 27 North, Range 2 West, WM., thence east along the center-
line of said Beck and Kirkpatrick Road to the intersection of the east line of
the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 27, Township 27 North,
Range 2 West, WM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said petitioner is exempt from compensa-
tion requirements specified under Jefferson County Road Vacation Ordinance 4 -80,
except for expenses incurred by Jefferson County for investigation, examination,
publication, and recording.
