Re: Coroner's Iudget, 1984

Gentlemen:
of;'.'
J};;t~,
In reviewing the Coroner's budget for ,1984 I find that the~~/(/
budget has be~n overspent in the amount of $310.00. There j/ '
have been an µnusual number of autopsies during the past ~~,~¿?
year due to the number of negligent homicide cases arising"'
from accidents caused whilü the negligent driver was under
the influence of alcohol.
C' .~
I reque3t that an additional allocation in the amount of
$~lO.OO be made to my 1984 budget.

yet to be ~aid for the month of December, I find that my budget
will be short $1,395.18 in catagory 515.10.49.20 due to the fact
that we have had unusual expenses in the "Contractual Services"
portion of our budget. The unusual expenses have largely been
the charge~ for the storage of vehicles being held pursuant to
negligent homicide charges. It was our understanding that these
charges were either entirely paid by the State Patrol, or, at the
least, shared between the State Patrol and the County. We have
since learned that that is not the case and ar~angements are
being made to secure the automobiles at the County Shop in
Hadlock foJlowing any necessary investigation and prior to trial.
