HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATION
OLYMPIC AREA AGENCY ON AGING
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners wishes
to supplement the rental cost for the Olympic Area Agency on Aging in
the amount of one hundred seventy and no/lOO dollars ($170.00) per month
until the County can provide office space for said Agency at the Jeffer-
son County Multi-Services Building; and
WHEREAS, the said Board also wishes to pay the Area Agency
for phone installation costs up to a total amount of two hundred fifty
three and no/lOa dollars ($253.00) due to additional costs incurred by
being located in temporary office space; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide the above noted funds, it appears
that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or
contemplated at the time of making the budget for 1985, and the sum of
$1,273.00 is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the
best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared
that an appropriation be made for the Olympic Area Agency on Aging in
the amount of $1,273.00, to be appropriated from the 308 unencumbered
Current Expense fund balance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held in the
County Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington,
on the 11th day of March, 1985, at the hour of 10:30a.m., and that notice
of said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson
County, and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and
be heard for or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
