Designation of Acting
Director of Public Works
WHEREAS, due to the resignation of the County Public Works
Director and the resignation of the County's only licensed professional
engineer on the Public Works Deportment stoff, it is necessary designate on
"acting" Director of Public Works to perform the duties of the Public Works
Deportment and to contract for 0 licensed professional engineer to provide
engineering services for on interim period not to exceed six months, and,

WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has agreed to contract with
the County for engineering services on a part-ti~ basis, to be provided by
their Director of Public Works, 0 licensed professional engineer, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Jefferson County Cannissioners,
that Gory A. Rowe is hereby appointed to serve as the Acting Director of
Publ ic Works for Jefferson County unti I such time as the vacancy of the
office of the Director of Public Works has been fi lied as per R.C.W. 36.80.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an Inter-Local Agree~nt be entered
into by and between Jefferson County and the City of Port Townsend for
port-time licensed professional engineering services for a period not to
exceed six months, to be performed by the City of Port Townsend Director of
Pub I i c Wo r k s.
