RESOLUTION NO. 42-85 HEARING NOTICE BUDGET APPROPRIATION PROSECUTING ATTORNEY'S OFFICE WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has insufficient funds in its 1985 Budget of Expenditures to cover additional expenditures in the amount of $50,000.00 which were not anticipated at the time of preparing the budget; and WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commis- sioners that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contemplated at the time of making the budget for 1985, and the sum of $50,000.00 is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, and that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in the amount of $50,000.00 for the purpose of retaining a special counsel to the County on the Palmer arbitration. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Commis- sioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 15th day of July, 1985, at the hour of 10:30a.m., and that notice of said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency. rt APPROVED this /~ day of July, 1985.
