RESOLUTION NO. 51-85
ORDER
BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS
ALL COUNTY DEPARTMENTS
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners did,
on the 8th day of July, 1985, declare that an emergency existed to
provide the total sum of $102,287.53 to be appropriated to the County
Departments as specified below, and set a hearing on said emergency
for the 22nd day of July, 1985, at the hour of 10:30a.m.; and
WHEREAS, this being the time and place set for said hearing
and no objection or objection interposed; now, therefore,
¡T IS HEREBY ORDERED, by the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners, that the County Auditor be, and she is hereby authoriz-
ed to include the amounts stated in the Department budgets as follows;
for the purpose of paying the increases in employee salaries and bene-
fits for 1985:

WH EREAS, the Departments of Jflffe'rson County have insufficient funds and
th,ir 1985 Budgets of Expenditl,lres to cover addítional expenditures as
fol/ows,which were not anticipated at the time of preparing the budget:

WHEREAS, it appeatsto the Board ofJefferson County Commissioners that
a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or con-
templated at the time of makil'lg ,the budget for 1985, and the sum of
$102,287.53 is necessar)f'to meet such need and emergency and is for the
best interests af Jefferson County ,that the ~ppropriation be made;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby
declared, and that an appropriation be made for the Departments listed in the
totolamount of $102,287.53 for the purpose of paying the employee salary
increases that wëtene~otmted and agreed upon with the employees and their
representative organizations.
Bf IT FURTHER RESOl Y,ED~that a public hearing beheld on said emergen-
cy appropriation and that saidfoteoring be held in the County Commissioners'
Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 22nd day of July
1985, at the hour of 10:30 a.m., and that notice of said hearing be published
in the offic:iall'lew~poper of Jefferson County, and that àt said hearing any in-
terested taxpayer may appear ànd be heard for or against the appropriation
for such al//!Iged emergency.

Port Townsend leader, a weekly newspaper which has been
established, published in the English language and circulated con-
tinuously as a weekly newspaper in the town of Port Townsend. in
said County and State, and for general circulation in said county
for more than six (6) months prior to the dote of the first publica-
tion of the Notice hereto attached, and that the said P()rt Town.
