RESOLUTION NO. 52-85
HEARING NOTICE
PROSECUTING ATTORNEY'S BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Budget
has insufficient funds in its 1985 Budget of Expenditures to cover
additional expenditures in the amount of $100,000.00 which were not
anticipated at the time of preparing the budget; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that
a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contem-
plated at the time of making the budget for 1985 and the sum of
$100,000.00 is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the
best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, and that
an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's
Budget in the amount of $100,000.00 for the purpose of paying for pro-
fessional services rendered concerning the ESM Securities matter and the
Jefferson County Jail arbitration.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County
Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the
~9th day of August, 1985, at the hour of 10:30a.m., and that notice of
said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County,
and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard
for or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
