RESOLUTION NO. 55-85
HEARING NOTICE
EMERGENCY BUDGET APPROPRIATION
PLANNING/BUILDING DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Planning/Building Department
has insufficient funds in its 1985 Budget of Expenditures to cover
additional expenditures in the amount of $4,600.00 which were not
anticipated at the time of preparing the budget; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners
that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or
contemplated at the time of making the budget for 1985, and the sum of
$4,600.00 is necessary tQ meet such need and emergency and is for the
best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared,
that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Planning/Building
Department in the amount of $4,600.00, to be reimbursed through the
Coastal ZOne Management 306 Grant with the Washington State Department
of Ecology.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County
Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the
26th day of August, 1985, at the hour of 3:00p.m., and that notice of
said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County,
and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be
heard for Or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.

Gentlemen:
Please be advised that after a thorough examination of my current budget
it appears that the budgeted amount in BARS Account Number 558.60.41.0040
of $ 0 of the 1420 Fund is· insufficient to pay
necessary expenses of this department for this year. After a careful
examination of the expenditures under this fund in previous years, and a
thorough examination of the present needs of this department under the
current year, 1 estimate that it 'will be necessary to have an additional
appropriation in the form of an emergency appropriation in the approxi-
mate amount of $4.600.00 for this current year for the following
reasons:
