RESOLUTION NO. 22-86
HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATION
JEFFERSON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Health Department has
insufficient funds in its 1986 Budget of Expenditures to cover addi-
tional expenditures in the amount of $62,000.00 which were not
anticipated at the time of preparing the budget; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners that a need and emergency exists as could not have been
foreseen or contemplated at the time of making said budget for 1986,
and the sum of $62,000.00 is necessary to meet such need and emergency
and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that the appropria-
tion be made;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby
declared and that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County
Health Department in the amount of $62,000.00 for the purpose of fund-
ing the shellfish protection and baseline study of Hood Canal, which
shall be off-set by a Shellfish Protection Plan Grant and a 205J Grant
from the Washington State Department of Ecology, and to establish the
administration of nursing services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County
Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse., Port Townsend, Washington, onwthe
7th day of April, 1986, at the hour of 4:00p.m., and that notice of
said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County
and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be
heard for ~L-agªinst the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
