RESOLUTION NO. 26-86
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has reviewed
a road vacation petition submitted by Patrick and Barbara Morrissey;
and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners held a public
hearing on the road vacation petition on April 7, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners considered
testimony of the public, comments from applicable department, agencies
and offices, and recommendation for the Jefferson County Public Works
Department and Jefferson County Planning Commission at the public
hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners determined at
the public hearing that the public will benefit from the vacation of
the road and such vacation complies with the Jefferson County
Comprehensive Plan and other applicable plans, policies or ordinances;
and
WHEREAS, compensation required pursuant to RCW 36.87.120 and
Jefferson County Road Vacation Ordinance No. 3-85 has been met,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following be vacated and
abandoned pursuant to RCW 36.87.140 and Jefferson County Road Vacation
Ordinance No. 3-85: All of that portion of the 80 feet in width by 120
feet in length right of way of Second Street, lying south of Lot 8 in
Block 5 and north of Lot 1 in Block 12, retaining a 16 feet in width by
80 feet in length strip to connect the alleys of blocks 5 and 12; also,
the lot lines of the south one-half of lot 3 and lots 4,5,6,7 and 8 of
Block 5, all within the plat of South Port Townsend, as recorded in
Volume 1, Page 10 of Plats, records of Jefferson County, State of
Washington.
