A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH THE JEFFERSON COUNTY CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE
WHEREAS: The State of Washington will
one-hundredth birthday on November 11, 1989, and
celebrate
its
WHEREAS: The State Legislature has

coordinating special events, and

WHEREAS: The Washington Centennial Commission is encouraging
all counties to be represented in statewide planning and establish
local activities, and
WHEREAS: Jefferson County has a rich heritage, and had a
significant role in this state's history, and
WHEREAS: Jefferson County will be an increasingly significant
factor in Washington States future of resources, people and culture.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Jefferson County
Commissioners approve and establish the Jefferson County Centennial
Committee, with members to be appointed at a later date.
