RESOLUTION NO. 88-85
ORDER
BUDGET APPROPRIATION
PLANNING/BUILDING DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners did,
on the 29th day of October, 1985, declare that an emergency existed
to provide the sum of $1,575.00 for the Planning/Building Department
budget and set a hearing on said emergency for the 18th day of Novem-
ber, 1985, at the hour of 4~00p.m.; and
WHEREAS, this being the time and place set for said hearing
and no objection or objection interposed; Now, Therefore,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, by the Board of Jefferson County
COJIlIijissioners, that due to the entire appropriation being reimbursed
through a Coastal Zone Management 306 Grant, that the County Auditor
be, and she is hereby authorized to include the sum of $1,575.00 in
the Planning/Building Department budget Fund No. 1420, under BARS
Account No. 558.60.60.0030, which constitutes a new line item within
said budget, for the purpose of developing a computerized indexing
system for shoreline substantial development permits.

Please be advised that after a thorough examination of my current budget
it appears that the budgeted amount in BARS Account Number 558.60.60.0030
of $ .00 of the 1420 ,Fund is, insufficient to pay
necessary expenses of this department for this year. After a careful
examination of the expenditures under this fund in previous years, and a
thorough examination of the present needs of this department undez: the
current year, 1 estimate that it 'will be necessary to have an additional
appropriation in the form of an emergency appropriation in the approxi-
mateélJ.T,\0unt of $ 1,575,00 for this current year for the following

Jefferson County has received a Coastal Zone Managemeht 306 contract that will fund
the development of a computerized indexing system for shoreline substantial
development permits,. permit exemptions, and permit violations. The contract allows
for the purchase and installation of an upgraded system for the planning and building
department's computer.

Accordingly, 1 request permission from the Board of County Commissioners
for an emergency appropriation in the sum of $ 1.575.00 for the cur-
