An Intent to Vacate x
a County Road Right x
of Way
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this board of County Commissioners
that it is not in the public interest to retain as county road right of way:
That portion of the sixty (60) foot in width by approximately 1,025 feet in length of
the Old Lower Hadlock Road, lying in Section 2, Township 29N., Range 1 W. W.N., co_encing
at the northeasterly right of way of the intersection of Oak Bay Road, County Road Number
940407, and Irondale Road, County Road Number 933507, as shown on the plan for County Road
Project Number CR0582 , on file at the Jefferson County Public Works Department, thence
easterly to the westerly right of way of the Lower Hadlock Road, County Road Number 652509.
Excepting therefrom any portion of the sixty (60) feet in width southerly extension of
Scott Road, County Road Number 651509, lying northerly of the centerline of said Old Lower
Hadlock Road,
and in contemplation of the language of the statute R.C.W. 36.87.010, same is useless,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, and the County Engineer is hereby directed to examine
said road and report his opinion as to whether this county road right of way should be
vacated and abandoned and all other facts, llatters and things which will be of importance
to the Board, and that such report be filed as soon as possible. The hearing date for the
proposed vacation is June 23, 1986, at the hour of 2:00pm, in the Commissioners' Chambers,
Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington.
