RESOLUTION NO. 71-86
Methadone Treatment Prohibited in Jefferson County
WHEREAS, RCW 69.54 authorizes Counties to exclude methadone
treatment as a drug abuse treatment modality in their community; and
WHEREAS, Jefferson County has reviewed the acceptability of
methadone treatment as a drug abuse treatment option in this community;
and,
WHEREAS, the community does not find methadone treatment to
be an acceptable treatment modality;
THEREFORE, in keeping with the authority vested in the County
by RCW 69.54, BE IT RESOLVED that methadone treatment shall be
prohibited in Jefferson County.
