WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has reviewed a road vacation
petition submitted by Anthony E, Stroeder; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on the road
vacation petition on October 6, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners considered testimony of the
public, comments from applicable departments, agencies and offices, and recommendation for
the Jefferson County Public Works Department and Jefferson County Planning Commission at
the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners determined at the public hearing
that the public will benefit from the vacation of a portion of the road and such vacation
complies with the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan and other applicable plans, policies
or ordinances; and
WHEREAS, compensation required pursuant to RCW 36.87.120 and Jefferson County Road
Vacation Ordinance No. 3-85 has been met,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following be vacated and abandoned pursuant to
RCW 36,87,140 and Jefferson County Road Vacation Ordinance No. 3-85:that portion of the
south 40 feet of Rhododendron Avenue laying adjacent to Block 23,west of 7th Avenue, in the
plat of Chalmers Second Addition, as recorded in Vol. 3, Pg, 9 of Plats, records of
Jefferson County, State of Washington, retaining therefrom for right of way purposes, a
fillet of a tangent curve having a radius of 35 feet, and also, upon condition of
dedication of the westerly most ten (10) feet of Lots 11 and 12 of Block 23, laying
adjacent to the easterly right of way line of Rhody Drive, County Road Number 95200.
