RESOLUTION NO. 84~86
ESTABLISHMENT OF REVOLVING FUND
SHERIFF'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the establishment of an additional Revolving Fund
for the Sheriff's Office has been necessitated due to a change in the
procedures used to purchase food for the jail and a check is now
required at the time of such food purchase and such check shall not
exceed $1,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, it has been adjudged necessary that such a Revolving
Fund be established in the amount of $1500.00, to be used solely for
the purchase of food for the jail; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Jefferson County Treasurer be, and
she is hereby authorized to issue a Treasurer's Check in the amount of
$1,500.00 payable to the Jefferson County Sheriff for the purpose of
establishing a new Revolving Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said Revolving Fund shall be
maintained in a bank as a checking account. Each check made out for
the purchase of food will require two signatures: One signature will be
that of the Jail Supervisor, to be obtained before departure from the
Jail facility, and the second signature will be that of the person
designated and assigned to make the purchase, and will be done at the
place of purchase. All expenditures made from said Revolving Fund
shall be reimbursed by warrant at the close of each month and such
other times as may be necessary.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the subject matter hereof is one
to meet needs and this resolution shall be in force and take effect
without further notice or hearing and this Resolution shall cancel
Resolution No. 69-86.
