HomeMy WebLinkAbout090 86 (í- c ,., <Y;X /;X~~_ð~U /1·/;7· /L PU~LISff: November 19, & 26, 1986 RESOLUTION NO. 90-86 HEARING NOTICE PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATION/EXTENSIONS PROSECUTING ATTORNEY, HUMAN SERVICES AND JEFFERSON COUNTY FAIR WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney, Human Services Department and the Jefferson County Fair have insufficient funds in their 1986 Budgets of Expenditures to cover additional expenditures which were not anticipated at the time of preparing the said budgets, as follows: Prosecuting Attorney Human Services Jefferson County Fair $l04,800 3l,OOO l3,OOO and WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contemplated at the time of preparing the budgets for 1986, and the sum of $l48,800.00 is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation/extensions be made; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared and that appropriation/extensions be made for the Departments listed above in the total amount of $148,800.00 for the purpose of paying legal fees regarding the jail and the ESM litigation, plus additional rental for the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, an increase in medicaide fees (Title XIX Grant) for the Human Services Department, and for additional Fair construction costs to be appropriated from the County Fair unencumbered fund balance. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said emergency appropriation/extensions and that said hearing be held in the County Commissioners' Chambers', Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 1st dç¡,y of December, 1986, at the hour of 10:OOa.m. and that notice of sai.d hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriation/extensions for such alleged emergency.
