RESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION of the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners, Jefferson County, Washington,
declaring certain territory to be duly
organized as Jefferson County Fire Protection
District No.6, and ratifying all acts of the
Jefferson County Fire Protection District
No. 6 taken since May, 1975.
WHEREAS, in January, 1975,
Auditor of Jefferson County (the
formation of a fire protection
Jefferson County; and
a Petition was filed with the
"County Auditor") requesting the
district in a certain area of
WHEREAS, on January 27, 1975, said petition was deemed by
the County Auditor to be sufficient and was transferred to the
Jefferson County Board of Commissioners for acceptance and the
designation of a date for a public hearing on the Petition; and
WHEREAS, on February 24, 1975, a public hearing, having been
duly noticed, was held by the Board of County Commissioners on
the Petition and the question of the formation of said fire
protection district; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners, by
Resolution No. 13-75, dated February 24, 1975, after the public
hearing held thereon, approved the Petition, designated the fire
protection district as "Jefferson County Fire Protection District
No.6," set the boundaries thereof, and ordered a special
election to be held on April 1, 1975, to determine whether the
district should be organized under such title and for the purpose
of electing its first fire commissioners; and
and
WHEREAS, such special election was held on April 1, 1975;
WHEREAS, on April 4, 1975, the County Auditor returned the
"Affidavit of Canvass of Return of Special Election for
Proposition for Proposed Fire Protection District No. 6 of April
1, 1975," attached hereto as Exhibit A, which certificate
declared the proposition to have been approved by more than
three-fifths of the votes cast at the election; and
WHEREAS, upon the return of the election canvass
more than three-fifths of the votes cast at an election
for the proposition to form a fire protection district,
of Commissioners of Jefferson County is required by
(RCW 52.02.110, formerly RCW 52.04.110) to pass a

three candidates receiving the highest number of votes for fire

said district; and
WHEREAS, there is no

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Jefferson County Board
of Commissioners, Jefferson County, Washington, as follows:
Section 1. Jefferson County Fire Protection District No.6
Organized. Upon examination of the canvass of the special
election held April 1, 1975, the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners hereby declare the territory designated in the
election canvass, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated
herein by reference, to be duly organized as "Jefferson County
Fire Protection District No.6," effective April 4, 1975.
Section 2. Ratification of Past Acts. All actions hereto-
fore taken by Jefferson County Fire Protection District No.6,
including and after its first meeting in May of 1975, are hereby
ratified and approved in all respects.
Section 3. Later Enactments Regarding District Not
Affected. This declaration of formation of Jefferson County Fire
Protection District No. 6 shall not in any way impair any actions
taken by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners since 1975
with regard to the district.
Section 4. Effective Date. This resolution shall be
effective immediately upon its appro~.

chosen, qualified and acting Clerk of the Jefferson County Board
of Commissioners (the "Board") of Jefferson County, Washington
(the "County"), and keeper of the records of the County¡ and I
HEREBY FURTHER CERTIFY:
1. That the attached resolution is a true and correct copy
of Resolution No. C;/-¡{~ of the County (the "Resolution") as

finally adopted at a regular meeting of the Board held on the

2. That said meeting was duly convened and held in all
respects in accordance with law, and to the extent required by
law, due and proper notice of such meeting was given¡ that a
quorum was present throughout the meeting and a legally suffi-

and proceedings incident to the proper adoption of the Resolution
have been duly fulfilled, carried out and otherwise observed, and
