Randy,
The more appropriate question would be to ask Diana to explain the basis for her $2,400 per acre mowing cost.
Unfortunately, PLA and the Port Ludlow Community are at a crossroads. PLA is undercapitalized, mismanaged and (after eighteen years of broken promises) has no creditability with our
Community.
If you are interested in turning this around, and making the Port Ludlow Master Planned Resort what it can and should be, I am prepared to meet in good faith and show you how that goal
can be accomplished. I can bring fresh capital, management expertise and greatly accelerate the build out timeline for the completion of the Port Ludlow MPR.
Please contact me if you would like to pursue this conversation.

I am not sure where Bert got his numbers, but if he wants to assume maintenance responsibility he should do this and quit ragging on PLA

A little perspective, and some facts, in response to PLA’s ‘cost statement’: “Cost
to mow ½ acre is approximately $1,000-$1,200. Mobilizing the equipment may be an additional charge.” I assume those costs are based on using PLA employees and equipment, which are
exempt from sales tax.
I have obtained two written bids from licensed, bonded and insured contractors that average $228.50* per acre - based on a four acre minimum. That price includes: mobilization, overhead,
profit, and sales tax.
What would motivate PLA to grossly exaggerate the actual mowing cost for mitigating a fire hazard they created on their property?
*Note: $228.50 is only 9.52% of PLA’s purported $2,400 per acre cost. (PLA’s actual hard cost should be in the $140 per acre range).
